Our Mission

“Unlocking hope, resources and support when they are most needed.”

 La Mesa City Hope is a community focused organization that serves the San Diego Region by developing and implementing strategies to address a variety of under met or hard to meet needs in the community. Specifically, issues such as trauma, domestic violence, human trafficking, homeless resource connection, financial, literacy, communication/ social skills, ect.

City Hope trains compassionate volunteers, equips them with information and resources, and places them where they can bring hope and help into traumatic situations.

 

What We Do

 

School Support Team

Our School Support Team works on school campuses with students in the aftermath of an acute trauma/crisis, or on a continuing basis with students who are living in a crisis situation, or just need extra support. 

Rapid Response Team

Our Rapid Response Team works with local law enforcement agencies to respond to the scene of a traumatic situation.  The team responds to rapes, assaults, death calls, accidents, burglaries, domestic violence, human trafficking, and other crisis situations.

City Hope Collaboration

City Hope is a 501(C)(3) that engages community collaboration to facilitate resilience and wellness.  Through collaboration with First Responders and local schools, City Hope:

  • dispatches a crisis response team to aid in critical incidents
  • deploys trained domestic violence advocates to assist individuals and families affected by domestic violence
  • delivers resources to assist in meeting urgent needs
  • devises strategies in collaboration with key city leaders to positively impact our community and address pressing issues.
